She is incredibly sweet, friendly when she is with others, with a voice much like her name. She tends to be quiet, though, and quickly grows tired when in any group larger than a one-on-one. She is also a little shy of humans and other creatures that dwell almost exclusively on the land, though there is some small part of her that longs for a humanoid partner.

Chimes spends most of her time exploring coastal areas around Nidus Insula, staying well away from pods of creatures that might try to hurt her or, worse, fold her into their group. Very occasionally she will swim into the harbour to exchange treasures or rumours she's heard from further away for trinkets.
