(For Nidus Caeligenus First Hatching)
The Piralan looked down over Supersyllaba's clutch again, and uttered a soft "Yee haw," to his mate, leaning down to boop her nose with his own. "I'm I saying it right?"
He'd been more than happy to revel with his lady friend for a few nights, while his bond found the nearest saloon and began playing (and losing) at poker. Poor Andy was used to Cemitae's jaunts by now, and had stopped trying to wrangle his many-sizes larger bond into what he thought was proper order. Cemitae, being fascinated by Andy's military background while also flagrantly uninterested in emulating it, appreciated the gesture.
It meant he had time to get to know the locals, mostly meaning Subersyllaba.
"You have the words, but it requires a litle more gusto," his super-significant-other said. "Come settle down over here, and try it again."
Cemitae curled up on the sands near their newest bundles of joy and tried again. Several vsiting humanoids let out returning woops, as was tradition. Cemitae returned them back, doing a little better on the second, and finally third time. "Yee haw!"
He watched a human fling his wide-brimmed hat up with all the enthusiasm of a big, pink-faced child and laughed, tucking away the idea of getting his bond just the same bit of garment. Or maybe himself...
Supersyllaba had looped her rail over his, catching his attention. "I'm glad you're having so much fun here. Do you want to hear some songs from the locals?"
"You know I do. Your voice is a balm to my heart, my darling." Cemitae reached his huge, fluffy wing out over the clutch to shelter them all a little closer, bridging the gap to rest on one of his mate's many wings.
As in the tradition of most asandae, he lowered his nose near the eggs, expecting at least partial awareness. "Now listen all of you: your mother knows everything you'll ever need to grow up, and especially when it comes to singing. When you're ready to hatch, keep that in your heart and you and your bonds can never go wrong."
He folded his arms, ears perking up as he cast adoring eyes on the golden prodigy that was his mate.
