Berith has long been a wanderer, traveling where the wind takes her. "The wind", in this case, is highly metaphorical. For many years she lived within what she could only call a cult on a planet called Atu, amongst a humanoid species who valued the unbreakable bonds with dragons native to the planet. In exchange for novelty, they offered her a different perspective, and she enjoyed getting to know them. There came a time when Berith yearned to move on, however, so on one of her many forays into the more densely populated areas of the planet, she came across a massive colonization plan from a failing space station that orbited her home.
Berith took the leap and traveled along with hundreds of others to newly founded dragon homes, called Niduses, but she only ever stayed in one or two for a few months at a time. Drawn by the wilderness, and especially by the mountains that made this part of the world so desirable to dragon-kind, she lived on her own for years. Only when she was attacked by a hydra and nearly killed did she think better of living on her own any longer.
Rescued by formidble looking beasts that called themselves Yautjas (or Yautie Dragons as some others called them when not in close company), Berith was brought back to Nidus Lacus where she spent months in recovery. A broken wing, a badly knicked tail fin, and a wounded ego took longer than she'd have liked to heal... even with her use of magic to patch what couldn't be healed by time.
Now, Berith is unsure of where teh wind will take her next. She has settled at Nidus Lacus for a while, once again getting to know the residents without fully integrating herself. |
