Ambridaaw has a confidence in himself that stems from his ability to manipulate a natural magical field he generates. From a young age he was able to feel the golden nimbus of light that only those who can see magic can really spot, and he was naturally inclined to play with it. He had no formal education, but has managed with his own clever experimentation to use it to capture little snippets of the past and future. He doesn't know how he does this, but the results give him much to mull over, and sometimes he even has just the right bit of forewarning to give sage advice.
