Even if she can be found to occasionally help those who need her healing powers, most will find Alba's bedside manner to be distant and frosty. She is not an empathetic creature, and sees other sentient beings as merely a part of a grander scheme of things, much like bigger and smaller masses have corresponding gravity, so too do more powerful entities have stronger powers of will to affect the fate of things... but that's another reason Alba has settled at Nidus Lacus. Huge, terrifying powers have settled only a few dozen kilometers away from her home in a pit called Arx Infusco. Their ability to warp fate has become an area of interest to her, much like some physicists will study black holes.

Alba may not seem it, but her loyalty to the Nidus is stronger than she could put in to words. She is not a perfectly objective observer, after all. She doesn't form bonds with individuals... but watching from afar, she cherishes the Nidus as a whole, and there is a part of her that would seek to protect it with her all. These offerings don't come in the form of brute force or magic, usually, but in predictions for the future, and wards against incursion from dangers to its inhabitants.
